Popular Santa Monica Boulevard corridor in
West Hollywood has undergone beautification with extensive
landscaping and enhancements making it a showcase of modern
urban design. The beautification of Santa Monica Blvd. is
now in progress between the 405 Freeway and the city of Beverly
Hills. This project will have a positive impact on Stars Inn,
which is located on Santa Monica Blvd., directly across the
street from the Century City Shopping Center and the landmark
high-rise office buildings.
From Stars Inn, you can drive 5 minutes to
Westwood Village, the home of the University of California
at Los Angeles(UCLA). There are many shops, and trendy restaurants,
and five landmark theaters in the Village. Sunset Boulevard
stretches on the northern boundary of the campus where you
can buy maps to the home of the movie stars in Beverly Hills.
From Stars Inn 15 minutes drive westerly
on Santa Monica Boulevard will get you to Ocean Ave. and the
Santa Monica Pier where you can watch the sun set at Pacific
Ocean. The Pier features an amusement park, game arcade, vintage
carousel, aquarium, music and dining. At the nearby Third-Street-Promenade,
the street entertainers perform at night in front of many
shops and trendy restaurants. Five minutes to the south of
Santa Monica Pier is the amazing Venice Beach where the street
performers entertain people from all walks of life during
the daytime.
From Stars Inn, you can drive 5 minutes easterly
on Santa Monica Boulevard to reach the world famous Rodeo
Drive with its fashionable and designer stores. Continuing
east for another 10 minutes, you can get to the Sunset Strip
gateway to Hollywood. From there, a short distance away, is
the Hollywood Boulevard’s “Walk of Fame”
with Chinese Theater and the Kodak Theater which is the home
of the Academy Awards ceremony.
In the daytime, you can visit the Getty
Center Museum, or shop at Century City's newly redesigned
shopping center across the street. There are also other upscale
